Where to live? (Montpellier)

My husband and I just moved to France from Seattle. We are currently living with my in-laws in the north, but will be in Montpellier from the 4th to the 7th of October to look at neighborhoods. Do any of you have recommendations for neighborhoods to check out? We would like to live near other young families, close to creche options, and also walking distance to some shops and restaurants. We are in our 30's and have a 9 month old. My husband is a iOS developer and will be looking to pick up jobs in Montpellier, and I am a Personal Development Coach.

We appreciate any insights or advice you might be able to give.
