Bonjour! (New to Montreal from New York) (Montréal)

Hello All: After touring this online community I was really impressed by the outreach of friendliness, so I thought I'd give it a whirl!

My partner and I have recently moved from New York to Montreal for jobs (he is a music professor at McGill; I am an architect) and the problem we're having is that, well, we know very few people in this city, but are excited about meeting new people, be it for a chat, a drink, or other casual socializing. If anyone has any interst in speaking a bit or in meeting -- or if you're a former New Yorker like we are, an architect, or a professor -- give a shout. And even if not, give a shout! Any and all responses are appreciated and welcomed.
