US / CANADIAN TAXES (Montréal)

Hello! Im a US Citizen and Canadian Permanent resident via spousal sponsorship. Ive been in Montreal for about ten months now. My husband is a Canadian Citizen. Ive been putting off filing my taxes, because Im confused about the process. Has anyone had any expereince with this? I believe I must file a US and Canadian tax form separately? I believe I should file my US taxes as married, filing separately? (I dont have kids) but when I tried to start my file online using Turbotax (US version) Im being asked for my husband's SSN, which of course, he doesn't have because he is Canadian. There doesnt seem to be a lot of accountants knowledgeable in this, and the ones that are are extremely expensive. Any insight would be much appreciated. Thank you!
