I'm wondering if I can get some guidance or if I can be put in contact with someone who specializes in labor or contract law.
The bottom line is, my situation at work has deteriorated so that management has circled the wagons and refuses to pay me sick leave for the 10 days I was on bed rest in December Protected content . I was told that since sick payment isn't specified in my contract and since I'm not a resident they do not have to pay me anything. However, I contend that during that period I was paying the resident tax of 17%. In addition, I laid out how work conditions, including those which violate my contract, contributed to my illness. So far, I haven't heard back from the company lawyer. I'd appreciate any help you all can give me.
