Stereotype #1 "Russia is land of bears and vodka" (Moscow)

Dear friends, we continue to post articles in the blog of Manuela Fritzl about Russia at Protected content

This time Manuela writes about stereotype #1 about "Russia is the land of bears and vodka".

Instead of being followed by stereotypes she is open for new friends and finds out the real Russian attitude and approach "Once you get to know people a bit more Russians are very touchy-feely. They tend to hug people, kiss you on the cheek for hellos and goodbyes and randomly touch your arm during conversations. Not at all the cold-hearted loners described in Western stereotypes. Russians also really like to give advice and are very curious about the person opposite them. So don’t be surprised if you get asked about your salary or given advice on how to dress for the weather 10 minutes into a conversation."
