Am I being fleeced (Mumbai)

Hi any one willing to comment: I've found a great agent to help find an apartment, he has showed me 10 out of which I found 9 acceptable. I'm looking to close a deal at $3,000/- (Lak 1.8) a month for a nice two bed in Bandra East... I'm essentially happy but is this a typical price or does is seem significantly high. Thanks for any brief advice in advance
