Bringing Pets (Mumbai)

Does anyone have experience family pets (dogs) in to India (specifically Mumbai) We are considering an offer from my company to head up global operations out of our Mumbai offices but we simply cannot leave our dogs.
Any help, advice, stories, recommendations is welcome.
