Leafleting in Residential Buildings (Mumbai)

Hi everyone,
I'm here to promote our new company and being pretty new in town, still unfamiliar with the 'culture' in how things are done here.
We are thinkng of leafleting our promotional pamphlets in the residential buildings of Bandra, Powai and Vashi areas, My question is - would we need permission from the Residents Committee of these buildings beforehand, or what is the normal 'protocol'?
Any advice would be most appreciated!
