Want to Know more about Gasesh Festival... (Mumbai)

This September Reality Tours will be running their annual Ganesh Festival Tour. During this 10 day Hindu festival the families and communities install a clay statue of the elephant headed god Ganesh in their homes or communal spaces and honour him every day. At the end they lead a procession with the statue and proceed to immerse the god in a body of water which represents sending Ganesh home along with the troubles of man.

Reality Tours will guide you through the meaning of the festival, bring you into the home of a local family in Dharavi to show you how this is celebrated, and finally also take you to the witness the immersion of the statue at the most famous location, Chowpatty beach.

Rs. 1,000 per person. As always 80% of the profits will go to their sister-NGO, Reality Gives.
