Weekend trips out of Mumbai

Hi everyone - how's things?

I've been travelling back and forth between Mumbai and Europe the last Protected content and will be doing so for a few months yet.

So far though, I haven't had time to actually explore the place - but this has to change!

Unfortunately though, I'm pretty much restricted to weekend trips. What makes it even more complicated, seeing as I'm based in Mumbai, is that I'd like to go out and do a bit of hiking or other nature related, scenic things.

So - does anybody have any suggestions for nice weekend trips out into nature departing from Mumbai?
