Which Indian visa for Australian expat wife (Mumbai)

Hi.
Just asking all Australian expat wives who do not work in India but accompany their partner in living in India on a business assignment for two or more years which Indian visa is needed to be sorted in Australia prior to moving.

My husbands work is organizing it but I was concerned a tourist visa would not be the one I needed, because of lack of flexibility of multiple entries and length of time I will be accompanying my husband for his time in India working.

If you could be so kind as to give me some advice for Australians applying for Indian Visas I would be most grateful.
