Advice on where to live (Munich)

Hi Everyone

We're moving to Munich in the summer and looking for any advice on good places to live.
My husband will be based near between München-Mittersendling and München Siemenswerke S bahn and we're hoping that my son will go to the Munich International School near Starnberg.
We are looking for a house with a garden in a nice area with good public transport links and shops and restaurants nearby. Any advice would be welcome as we're coming early next week to have a look round.
