Come join us for an enchanting evening with guest speaker, John Paiva. John will share with us antidotes out of his life as a successful professional American guitar player that had to adapt to the Bavarian culture – with all the professional and personal ups-and-downs that come with show business, and living and working in a different culture other than his own, and how love played an important role in who is he today and why he is where he is.
Born in Bristol, R.I., USA, John has worked as guitarist with rock singers Jimmy Clanton, Bobby Rydel, and Freddy Cannon; and performed with Chuck Berry, The Drifters, The Four Tops, Bo Diddley, The Ronetts and other renown blues and rock groups. He was bandleader for Herb Reed and the original Platters. In Protected content became guitarist/ bandleader/ singer with vocal group The Happenings, a group that had two #1 hits: I Got Rhythm and Mamie. In Protected content became a member of Franke Valli and the Four Seasons. As a “Season” he received two gold singles, one platinum and two gold albums.

Following a European tour with Fats Domino in Protected content , he met Margie, got married and became a permanent Munich resident. Although the greater Munich area is where John calls home these days, he has not only played, but also lectured at many different places in the world, one of which was the University of Wisconsin.

Come join us for an interesting and fun networking evening with lots of showbiz flair (and a touch of good music!) The charge of €uro 25,- for members, €uro 35 for guests will be raised at the door and covers two drinks from the seminar room bar and a sumptuous 3-course buffet dinner.
