Banking Situation in Munich for American Citizens

I'm moving to Munich in about 6 weeks still trying to find a job. Do any Americans know banking wise, what I should do?

It's my understanding most German companies pay with direct deposit, and will probably only want to pay directly to German banks, but because of FACTA most banks don't take American citizens.

Any suggestions on whether I should transfer my money from an american bank to a German bank or access it remotely from Munich, and getting paid wise what should I do.

I plan on living in Germany "if successful" for several years to possibly permanently.
