Freelancer VAT filing (Munich)

Hello,

I am a freelancer, have been living here for about 18 months now. My monthly VAT filing was handled by my bookkeeper so far but now I want to go it alone as I realize that filing the VAT is not a big deal and I can do it on my own without a bookkeeper.

I know that I can file VAT using elster.de. But thats about everything that I know. I dont know how to do first time registration on elster.de, and then how to file VAT every month. The website, their guide book everything is in German. And I dont know the language. Any expat out there who is a freelancer and who's been filing VAT himself and would like to give me some coaching? If need be, I could pay you some charge per hour but SOMEONE PLEASE help me with this.
