getting married in Germany (Munich)

I´m an Australian living in Munich and want to marry my German boyfriend. The problem we are facing is the fact that I have been married before. I have both my marriage certificates and divorce certificates and my birth certificate with me. The Standesamt in Munich told us that my papers have to be no older than 6 months and have to have an Apostille. We are getting conflicting info about how to go about this. The embassy in Berlin and the Consulate in Frankfurt won´t help. Does anyone have any ideas?
