Munich vs. Zurich

I live in Seattle, WA. My family and I have the opportunity to transfer to either Munich or Zurich. We've spent time in Munich and really like it, but have not been to Zurich. Of course we would visit before making a final decision, but was wondering if anyone had any strong feelings in either direction. Things that are important to us are good food/drink, good public transportation, ability to be without a car, easy access to groceries/household items. We also have a 4 year old, if that changes anything.
