Purpose of Role:
Management, strategy and ownership of Territory
Maximise profitability, revenue, opportunities and brand in Territory
Establish, maintain and achieve successful standalone P&L for each country within Territory
Ownership of key clients within Territory
Acquisition of new key strategic partners in territory
Leadership, structure and management of territory sales team
Provide strategic input and support Heads of Sales in achievement of Sales and company goals

Duties and Responsibilities:
Management, strategy and ownership of territory
Devise territory business plan in order to achieve sales, margin and profit targets.
Regularly review and update business plan to reflect market changes and company direction.
Implementation of business plan and roll-out to territory team
Achieve a successful standalone budget and P&L for each country within the Territory, proportioning costs from within the business accordingly
Drive forward operational, IT, accounts, sales, product and marketing needs of Territory to put in place necessary support, resources and infrastructure that sit within each country’s P&L
Devise and implement an annual client visit plan across the sales team, taking in to consideration each client’s potential value to the business and allowing capacity for new business visits.
Responsible for ensuring the right team is in place to deliver the Company and Territory strategy, within a successful P&L, be it building/recruiting into team or replacing/downsizing
Authorise, track and manage budgetary spending of team, particularly in relation to travel expenses, marketing, entertainment.

Level of financial responsibility:
This is dependent on the territory, but generally in excess of £1,000,000

Experience, Qualifications, Training requirements
Fluent in German and English
Knowledge and comprehensive previous experience of working as a Territory Manager (or equivalent) within the travel industry including leading a team of Sales Managers/BDMs and/or Account Managers
Knowledge and experience of online travel/ecommerce
Knowledge and experience of trade sales
Experience and understanding of distribution to xml clients preferred
Knowledge and experience of key account management
Local market knowledge and experience of operating within assigned territory
Local market contacts within assigned territory
Available to travel at least 30% of time
Full driver’s license with no points or convictions essential

Demonstrable skills in account and relationship management
