Relocating to Munich

Hello friends,

I am an IT professional in the Pharmaceutical industry, from Montreal, Canada, planning to relocate to Munich, Germany.
I have visited Munich for work a few times but not very familiar with the best area to live in the city for a longer term - as in a year rental.
Any suggestions/advise/recommendations friends?? - will be appreciated.
