Travel insurance - any leads? (Munich)

Hi Everyone,

I am in the process of arranging my visa for Germany in order to get there for end of May :) I am really excited.

I have to arrange a travel insurance as required by the embassy. Now my thought was - shall I organize one from an insurance company in Germany or from the UK(current residence)?

I know it doesn't make sense when I talk about "travel insurance" from Germany when I am visiting Germany!! However, I think in case of any unfortunate incident, it might be better to claim from a local company in Germany than in the UK.

Pls do share your thoughts. Appreciate your help :)
