beach places and cliff diving (Muscat)

I am a newbie here in Muscat. I would like to know what are the beach places that are good here for a swim, unwind and catch some sun. i went in Qurum but its a long stretch of coastline. . I would appreciate any suggestion.Moreover, i saw that there are places in Oman for cliff diving. Does anyone know any group trips planned for this kind of activity? Thanks so much.
