Bein sports and premier league football (Muscat)

This Saturday I found out that the Bein channels that have the English Premier league (all matches are usually shown) were not available. It seems that just one channel shows 3 matches, commentary in Arabic. I went to the Bein shop in Al khuwair to be told that Bein has switched satellites and although my subscription is still valid (I pre paid for a year), I would have to buy another receiver (30RO) to access the channels.

Does anyone know whether this likely to be the shop trying to make a quick profit by selling receivers were should be given free of charge?
