Bringing food from home (Muscat)

Hi all! One new question - I have a lot of homemade foods, canned goods, etc., which I made myself which I would like to bring into the country, also cheese, etc. I want to make sure I have something to eat until I am settled esp as I hear the food in the hotels is not very good. Plus I am a vegetarian. Will there be any problems to bring in food that is not sealed and/or in store packaging?? This is a biggie for me, plus I have a few things in the cupboards I want to bring along until I go shopping there. Please advise. EG. I made my own granola power bars, stuff like that, which I want to bring along. Thank you!
