Extra Baggage Charges for Apparent Hoarder :) (Muscat)

I have been unable to find anyone interested in purchasing all the sporting equipment I brought to Oman, therefore I am forced to return home with it.
Anyone have any stories regarding extra baggage charges when exiting from the airport here in Muscat?

It would appear that the charges can be from OMR 3.000 to as high as 12.000 /kg.

I have called Oman Air Cargo and 45 to Protected content ships at a rate of OMR 0.780 but it depends on the Country it's being shipped too. Must arrange 4 days in advance to accompany you on same flight.
Nevertheless a lot more affordable...
