Family visa requirements (Muscat)

Hi!
I was just wondering if a woman can sponsor her children in Oman. Can they live with her without the father but, of course, with his consent, if her employers are ready to sponsor their residence visa.
I have checked the law and the answer is: yes but I've heard that there are recent changes which cannot be found anywhere in the net.
Will be thankful if anyone can fill me in or suggest sites and other ways of finding out.
