Moving to Muscat: LOT OF QUESTIONS!!!

Hi there folks!

I'm moving to Muscat on the first of March, I have read a lot about the country, expat lifestyle etc etc... But I still have a lot of questions!

First one is living there, I have taken a look at some complex like The Wave, Muscat HIlls, Dolphin Villages etc etc
Does any member live in a complex or compund? How is life there?Would also help me find compund names...

I need to rent on a monthly basis, but it looks like this is not the normal way, they ask for yearly rents... Do you think it's hard to find monthly rentals?
Services like, water, electriciy, cable... etc etc are expensive?? What would it be the monthly cost for 2

What about furniture, where can I buy it? is there any mall like IKEA or similar?

Transport: what about second hand market cars? Can you trust on local dealers?

Banking: are they familiar with expat, are multicurrency accounts available? What is in your opinion best way to send money to Europe (Spain)
