New to Oman (Muscat)

Hi All,

I have just moved to Oman for 6 months and am looking to make friends and this seems like a good place to start looking! I am from the UK and am working as an Environmental Engineer in and around Oman but based in South Gubra, Muscat at the moment. I would like to find out more about the social scene here so any tips would be greatly appreciated!

I was wondering if anyone could give me an idea of any taxi numbers that are safe and reliable for women to take alone and how best to go about organising this?
