Potential Muscat move

Hi Everyone, I am relatively new to these forums and IN, I am considering a move to Muscat with my wife and 3 year old son. I have been given an indication of salary which is Protected content per month inc medical cover & one flight home with commission of approx 350OR per month (Car and schooling are under negotiation).

Is the salary on offer one that we could realistically live on as we have a mortgage in our home country which if not “rented out” we would still have to cover. Housing seems to be the biggest expense for expat but what other major expenses should we be considering

Any feedback on what else I should expect/negotiate if I get a formal offer would be appreciated.
