Shipping furniture (Muscat)

Hi all, I am looking for some removals advice. I currently reside in Perth, Western Australia and could be moving to Muscat in the near future with my husband's job. We are unsure if to ship our furniture or not (my husband's company organised this when we moved from the UK to Oz, but not so lucky this time). For those who have transported their worldly goods to the area, was it easy? Also, if we planned to stay for 3 years would it be cheaper to buy the basics and not bother brining our items? Any feedback would be very much appreciated. Thank you. :)
