visa for me if my wife gets a job in Oman (Muscat)

Hello all
Today someone told me that if my wife gets a job in Oman she cannot take me there with her, that ladies who find a job there are not allowed to bring their husbands or children with them. Is it true? just in case, is there any way to do it?
Our plan it was that her will work there while Im studying arabic language and arabic music there, and being there maybe try to find a part time job myself too.
But now with this news I don´t know what can we do. Anyone can tell me something about it?
