What I Should Know Before Moving to Oman (Muscat)

There's a good possibility that I might be moving to Oman as a contractor within the next couple of months. Even though I've been in Iraq since Protected content have visited several SWA countries, e.g, Kuwait, Qatar, UAE, Jordan, Egypt, ..., I have yet to visit Oman. I have heard that it is beautiful and the pictures I've seen prove that. I'm just wondering if there are any unique things I should be aware of before I make my final decision. BTW, I am single.
