Work permits to Oman? (Muscat)

I was wondering if anybody can give me an idea of how long the Ministry of Manpower typically takes to issue work permits? I have been waiting some time for mine to arrive to at my employers.I am an ESL professional and the job is with one of technical colleges here in Oman. Thanks
