Cultural and Contemporary Dance (Nairobi)

Kenya is a country of diverse cultural backgrounds, vibrant dance, song and dramatic performances that cut across borders. The two day Annual Uumuntu Cultural Festival will set a precedent in Kenya and serve as a strategy to encourage the performance of Cultural and Contemporary Dance among the youth who are our future cultural ambassadors.

National Museums of Kenya have graciously consented to host the inaugural festival.

Shangari Communication crew behind the Festival include Catherine Muigai, an award winning film maker and promoter of youth and culture, Edna Njunu is the programmes officer for youth and Jade Pesaa is the coordinator of performing arts youth groups.
