Health Insurance or Pay Out of Pocket? (Nairobi)

Just wondering what peoples' recommendations are for health insurance while in Kenya. I see quite a few companies that provide it in Kenya. My husband and I are very healthy and only need our annual physical exams. Would it make more sense to just pay out of pocket for this? How much is a visit to a General Practitioner if you have the flu or allergies or something simple like that?
