Following media reports in the recent past insinuating that there is a policy shift to the effect that the department does not renew Class ‘D’ work permit any longer, the department has received numerous inquiries and concerns by investors who employ expatriates. We wish to take this earliest opportunity to reassure all investors and organizations that employ or intend to employ expatriates that there is no change as far as our policy on work permits is concerned. The department continues to process applications for Class D work permits and indeed all other classes of permits on case-by-case basis. A decision to approve or reject a permit is done carefully taking into considerations the national interest and the interest of the employer or investor. In case you need any further clarification on this or this or any other service provided by the Department, do not hesitate to contact us on Tel numbers Protected content .
