Moving to Nairobi in September

SaSa,
I will be moving to Nairobi very soon. I have never been there (I am a very daring woman) . . . I am a very talented writer and thorough educator. I am very intelligent and I LOVE to help people. I would like a job helping others. I have so many questions about Nairobi: What neighborhoods should a (non-rich, hardworking black American move to?) Are there huge writing communities? If so, how can I earn my welcome? I guess I just need all of the advice I can get - so give some if you have any and are in a generous and wise mood :-) I know nothing about moving to Nairobi, except it's what my spirit is calling for me to do - so Im doing it!
