Question about obtaining a work permit (Nairobi)

Hi,

my name is Thomas and I'm new here in Nairobi. I found a local company that would like to hire me as an office manager.
The problem is that I don't have a work permit yet and the immigrations give the local company a hard time. The permit seems to be very expensive Protected content KES per year payable for minimum 2 years in advance). That is too much for this company. Can anybody help me or give me any advice to sort this issue out?
