Wet Weather short rains warning (Nairobi)
information only.
This is part of the KK security report relating to the sort rains which are expected shortly. Hopefully it isn't as bad as forecast. I do know that driving standards are at an all time low during this time.
"In the next few days, the short rains period will commence. According to the Meteorological
Department, "predictions are that the enhanced rainfall will reach the strongest levels ever seen in
the last four decades as the world heads into the El Nino season.” The higher-than usual rains are
expected to continue through to December. Kenya government agencies have scrambled to plan
ahead.
