Cheap hotel in Delhi? (New Delhi)

Our son will be visiting us in Chennai in February. On his way back, he’ll stay overnight in Delhi to catch the morning flight to Europe. Can anybody recommend a hotel near the airport / located conveniently, suitable for the budget of a 25-year old?
