New Year's Events? (New Delhi)

Hello everyone!

Are there any organized events for New Year's eve that are open for newcomers?

I just moved into Delhi and will be here for 4 months doing some research out of JNU and the Institute for Economic Growth at Delhi University. This forum thing is very new to me, but it would be great to hang out with folks with the same and different interests! I'm living in Safdarjung Enclave and would like to figure out my neighborhood and the city better through some fun exploring.
