VISA extension help! (New Delhi)

Hi all!

Looking for some advise regarding employment visa extensions. When I was issued with my 6 month VISA it was given from the date of application not the dates needed- therefore it needs extending by 3 weeks so I reach the end of my work contract.

Does anyone have any idea- how easy this is to do and also how much this would cost? (I had been loosely told it would be £10,000 and this seems very incorrect!)
