Kavita Nayar has been working in this field for the past three decades. She works in all the mediums with equal ease, be it oil on canvas or acrylics, lithography, etchings, serigraphy or pastels on paper. She is forever trying to innovate and discover herself through her works.

She has been representing India through a number of scholarships, grants, workshops, and exhibitions. She has traveled and worked in countries like France, England, Sweden, Hungary, Luxembourg, Mauritius, USA & China . She obtained her Bachelors degree from Shantiniketan in West Bengal which was followed by a Masters in the Delhi College of Art. She has held solo shows in New York, Oxford University, Mauritius, Delhi, Kolkata, and Mumbai. Her works are in collection with the Prime Minister House in India, Ministry of Civil Aviation in New Delhi, National Gallery of Modern Art, New Delhi, National Bibliotheque, Paris, and in many important academies and corporate houses in India and abroad. At present she is a visiting professor with the fine arts dept. of Jamia Milia Islamia University, New Delhi.
