Haiti Earthquake Relief Drive (New York)

Edeyo and St. John’s University Center for Global Development are organizing a humanitarian relief drive for Haiti.

Admission is $25 and includes complimentary food and 1 hour open bar from Protected content .

For those who cannot bring items to this location or are unable to attend, you can donate money to Edeyo on their website. Please be sure to note in your online donation that the donation is intended for the "Haiti Relief Drive."

75% of proceeds raised from the event will go directly to Edeyo's relief fund and the remaining funds will go to the Center for Global Development's relief logistical and medical team.

All donations are tax-deductible.

ITEMS NEEDED FOR DONATION:

Individuals wishing to donate various items that volunteers traveling to Haiti will take with them to the field should bring items to the event. There will be approximately 15 people from St. John's University Center for Global Development Haiti Disaster Relief Team traveling to Haiti. Each team member traveling is allowed two containers (large plastic container bags). Team members will depart Friday for two weeks or longer depending on logistics. Please donate what you can in the following categories.

SHELTER:
Sheets, blankets, towels, tents, tarps, sleeping bags

POWER:
Flashlights, batteries - D cells

MEDICINE:
Bandages, gauze, soap, first aid kits, aspirin, Ibuprofen, antibiotics, any over-the-counter medications for pain

FOOD:
Canned food with TAB OPENINGS that don't require can openers, energy bars, bottled water, anything that is light weight, high in iron and protein, and easily transferable (no JUNK FOOD, chips, candy bars, etc)

Those who are unable to drop off items on Tuesday can drop off items Wednesday - Thursday at the location below between Protected content
