Identifying predictors of daily well-being (New York)

Psychology researchers at City University London are investigating the links between people’s work, their personality style, and sense of well-being across the entire week.

The aims of the project are to:

1. Measure people’s well-being over consecutive days in the same week
2. Understand the work and personality factors that influence daily and weekly well-being
3. Provide information on the latest techniques and recommendations designed to promote well-being, personal resilience, and leisure time experiences

The project is being conducted by Jenny Cooke and supervised by researchers in the psychology department at City University London. The project is open to anyone aged 18 or over who works on a full-time or part-time basis.

You will be asked to complete an initial on-line questionnaire followed by brief well-being surveys at the end of seven consecutive days in the same week. The surveys assess your general mood, well-being, and ask about your thinking patterns on each day (e.g., how much you have worried each day). Participating in the project will take about an hour to an hour and a half of your time in total, across any week of your choosing. Your anonymous responses to the surveys will only be seen by Jenny and two other members of the City University research team and will remain strictly confidential.
