Reasonably priced New York hotel

Hi all,
I am the IN ambassador in Santiago, Chile. I have just booked a week in NYC in June. Can anyone suggest a well located hotel that is of a reasonable standard and fairly well located? Tripadvisor is a little daunting so any recommendations would be great. Thanks, Chris
