NYer visits CdA in july (1st week) (Nice)

Hi All,

Im a born & bred NY'er & am looking for interesting contacts & info on what to see & where to stay in CdA. yes, i have my trusty guides but nothing is better than getting first hand info from you locals.

Il be there for only a week (sad, i know) but want to make the most of it. I would like to stay in a moderately priced hotel/motel or perhaops someones flat is up for rent? I would also like to be near the beach. am i already asking for too much? :)
