Moving to NKC for work in a few months (Nouakchott)

Greetings All,
My wife and I are moving to NKC and we are trying to plan properly. What are things that are difficult to find are non-existent that we should anticipate bringing with us from the US? What are somethings that you all have regretted not bringing? Lastly - bad areas, good areas, areas to walk or run, and are their any exercise facilities?
