Dear Friends, Ex-pats and lovers of English films,

You probably know of the English language movie theater in Nürnberg named Roxy. But did you know it will re-open in March Protected content ? Founded first in Protected content , the cinema has been in family hands since it was built. The search for someone to carry on the banner of English film in Franken took a long time, but has finally succeeded. After a short renovation, the cinema known and loved by so many will re-open under new management on March 16, Protected content .

For the most part, the program will remain the same: we will continue to offer a nice mix of mainstream and family films, with the occasional art-house film. This is what brings not just native speakers, but also our Frankonian friends who value the original version of first-run movies, into the Roxy.

Yet we will mix things up just a bit. For the first time since Protected content , a regular German language program will be showing in the afternoons at the Roxy. These films will be selected to appeal to the families and seniors who live near the cinema. Now when the neighbors walk by they will find something for them in their little neighborhood cinema.

Before we re-open, some work needs to be done:

the digitalization of both projectors
the replacement of the screen in Kino 1
the renovation of the entrance hall
