Transport details:

The Yoshino line express train departs at 9:20 a.m. and will arrive at Tsubosakayama stn (Nara) at 10:05 a.m. You can meet at either Abenobashi stn or Tsubosakayama stn.

What to bring:
Bring your own lunch and drink (there is no food available on the hike or at the castle). Also bring sunscreen, a hat, good shoes for hiking, a raincoat just in case, and something to sit on (If you have a big plastic sheet that you can bring - that would be great).

Event details:
We will walk through the delightful olde worlde town of Tsubosakayama, which leads to the hike route in the forest to get to Takatori castle. The hike (depending on the pace) takes about an hour and is fairly easy. We can also stop en-route for a break. You may hear the sound of Woodpeckers as we hike up to through the Castle grounds. Once at the top and after having looked around the castle site - we will find a nice place to enjoy lunch. We will hike back via a different route to see some ancient rock carvings and pass by Tsubosakadera temple and then arrive back to Tsubosakayama town to take a train back to Osaka.

Here’s looking forward to a great day on Saturday June 22nd. If you have any queries about this event - please let me know.
