visiting Japan soon, need freinds :) (Osaka)

Hie guys. ive decided to throw caution to the wind and visit Japan this December. Only problem is i know no one there. It can be terrifying visiting a new environment alone. I don't know where in Japan ill be visiting, it depends on any tips and advise you can give me. For me the most important thing is to make a friend so that when i visit, I have a contact. any advise most welcome.
